Since 1972, Nicky Haslam has shared his remarkable design intuition and creativity with a select group of fortunate designers, including Lucy Derbyshire and Jena Quinn, now the founders of Studio QD.
Jena Quinn began working alongside Nicky in 2000, followed by Lucy Derbyshire in 2004, both playing pivotal roles as senior creatives within his studio. In 2015, as Nicky’s public speaking and writing engagements grew, he moved away from the traditional office structure. In response, Jena and Lucy established Studio QD, carrying forward the legacy of that structure and creative direction.
Together, they continue their close collaboration with Nicky, crafting interiors that merge their shared understanding of scale and form with the charm, wit, and humour that have long distinguished their work. Their collaboration in both interior design and interior architecture has spanned nearly 25 years, reflecting a partnership built on mutual creativity and vision.
